Space Gets The Internet And Twitter Let The Slacking Begin!

Thanks to the guys at NASA those aboard the ISS have a new reason to be happy, they now have the Internet. The astronauts are able to do with with the use of Crew Support LAN, they now have a route of private communication which gives them the ability to talk to loved ones in real-time. This is obviously a real moral boaster in such an isolated and distance place.

Not content with just having the internet to talk to those close to their hearts the astronauts have twitter to talk to the world. T.J Creamer aboard the ISS  had the honour of the first live tweet at approximately 3:38 a.m. EST Friday he wrote:

Hello Twitterverse! We r now LIVE tweeting from the International Space Station–the 1st live tweet from Space! :) More soon, send your ?s.

We look forward to see some more tweets from space, you can now follow the astronauts T.J Creamer, Soichi Noguchi and Jeff Williams.

MusicDNA A File Format To Overthrow MP3?

MP3’s have been the long standing de facto format of music for a decade now after it’s release in the mid 90’s but back then developers didn’t release the type of market digital music would flourish into.

Today the industry is rife with piracy and downloading an MP3 is quick and simple, there’s just not enough incentive for people to buy them.

Obama Skips jury Duty

I guess we can’t blame as he’s a pretty busy guy and has a speech to give about something or other but it seems President Obama will be missing jury duty after it emerged he had been summoned to Illinois via a letter sent to his Chicago home a couple of weeks ago.

The case begins today but an anonymous official (anonymous based on the fact they aren’t necessarily cleared for public speaking…) confirmed the news to the Associated Press.

Conspiracy theorists you have 24 hours to come up with a completely implausible story as to why this travesty was uncovered in this way starting….Now.

Go.
