Burj Khalifa Tower Gets Its First Official Base Jump

Back in May 2009 two men managed to jump from theĀ  tower at a height of 650m, unfortunately they didn’t have permission and were arrested shortly after. Now though Nasr Al Niyadi and Omar Al Hegelan, from the Emirates Aviation Society were able to do the jump from the completed height of the tower (828m) with full permission from the owners.

They have now set a world record for the highest base jump reaching a speed of 136 mph and hit the ground in 90 seconds! There’s a head cam video provided in the source to show off the amazing feat.
