On show at this years CES is yet another piece of technology I’m sure we’ll all be eager to get our hands on. Fans of Minority Report take note cause soon you too will be able to drag around icons, play mp3’s and a whole host of other commands on your wall, table or side of your cat whatever other flat surface you can think of. There’s a promotional video after the break.
Light Touch™ has Holographic Laser Projection (HLP™) technology inside which creates bright, high-quality video images in WVGA resolution. Integrated infrared sensors detect motion and turn the projected image into a 10.1″ virtual touch screen, so the user can control the projector and interact with applications simply by touching the image.
Light Touch ™ is equipped with 2GB of onboard Flash memory and has a Micro SD card slot that supports up to 32GB. Light Touch™ can be wall powered or battery operated, with a run-time of 2 hours before recharging is required.
Developed by British based Light Blue Optics the Light Touch runs on Windows CE and has Adobe Flash Lite and Wi-Fi capability meaning you could play games, surf social networking sites, share multimedia around you’re home or use it as an electronic point of sale in a store (cyber Tokyo rejoice). For more information head over to the Light Touch website and enjoy the video.
