Microsoft and Apple Join Evil Hands To Fight Google?

While fighting each other by day (and night) MS and Apple have been in talks to replace Google with Bing as the iPhones default search engine. As crazy as it sounds it does actually make sense. The increasing threat of Google on both companies has put them “into a corner”.

Microsoft have ploughed a lot of money into their decision engine and while the deal with Yahoo saw it swallow up a portion of its competition Google has and always will be the end goal and getting themselves into the iPhone which to date has sold over 17 million units would be a big coup.

The fact that sales are due to explode this year with the introduction of new carriers in big markets and the release of the next gen iPhone means that within a short time the market share gap between Bing and  Google could shrink from the current 10% Bing to 65% Google (US Market) to something far more manageable.

It’s also no secret that Apple would like to take Google down a peg or two after they’re very public battles saw them buy out advertising company Quarttro Wireless in an attempt to take hold of the mobile advertising market. This was after Google released their Nexus One handset in a full scale attempt to crack open mobile phone sales.

It could be possible that the planets are aligning and that the Mayans got their prediction off by two years that or the two kids fighting with sticks just saw a bigger kid with a much bigger stick.
